Lizzie!! I received the photos in the mail today!!

i've burnt a copy for Iz.. he'll pass it to Kooichi... for now i figure he isnt going to be the most delighted person when he sees the pictures of John, Dan, You and i.

Update:

was playing pool with Derwin yesterday.. hanging with Steven from SMU Pool Club.. these people are really something.. their pool is just awesome. i cant shoot straight and my shots are all screwed and skewed. i actually stopped playing for three months already.. but i think they've rekindled my interest

I spoke with Caroline today and we're not going to do the IMF/World Bank thing anymore cos the event is too large.. with all the red tape..she's not going through the hassle.. which IS a great disappointment becuase its my last chance to see Vince.

I've been on about this guy from the day I met him.. I was doing a part time job emceeing and ushering at Shangri-La when I met him.. They had me seated next to the sound systems and videos. I was suppoused to help with the lighting - just a simple touch of a button.. that placed me next to him. they wanted to let someone else do the job a little later... but he insisted that i do it... i like to think it was cos he enjoyed my company.

Vince isnt your average hunk. he's actually kinda lanky.. not distastefully so though.. he had a boyish smile, hair that wasnt really neat..neither was it unkempt.. it was soft and jet black and fell all about his face in delicate strands.. he looked like he didnt care and it was so incredibly sexy that way. he was decked out in an oversized dark green parka and faded jeans.. he seemed to swim around his large baggy clothing but it all seemed so huggable. nothing really mattered though... cos i never had a thing for guys with looks. it was always about personality and being thoughtful.. kind.. he was all of that, and maybe more for the three days i met him..

it didnt matter that he was twenty-nine either. he looked positively twenty one. he thought i was sixteen. when he said it my heart skipped a beat.. for once i didnt want to be that young.

i hardly learnt anything about him.. apart from the fact that he's perpetually hooked onto dota.. (that gave me the reason to start), his nickname on battlenet were four chinese characters of elements.. suppousedly the ultimate skill of some character outta condor heros.. my knowledge of chinese is downright embarassing.. if im not wrong.. it was '风云。。‘　i cant for the life of me remember what the other two characters were. i dont think i'll ever see him on bnet cos i dont even go there...

we spent the last few minutes of the last day he was there at the porch of some hidden corner that overlooked the cars below.. he said he discovered all these secret places because of the work he did at all the hotels... there was so much i wanted to say, and i dont know if he felt the same way. i wanted to tell him that i wasnt the girl he was looking at. that i wasnt cut out to be dressed in that perfectly creased black coat, that i wasnt used to having my hair done up in that classic french twist. i wanted to tell him that i had curls that reached down the length of my back and that they almost always fell free, that i had an undying penchant for pretty glittery things that didnt have to be gold, that i wasnt above longing to run free in a vast field of flowers.. and that i had a burning desire to reach out and brush his cheek softly with the back of my hand.

we left so much unsaid that day. as he was packing, i asked if he would be doing anymore events as a freelancer.

V: 'i'll be working with IMF.. its the next big event thats coming to town..'
A 'are you serious? thats awesome.... my prof wants to get involved in an event like that..'
V 'will you be there?'
A 'i should think so... '
*someone yells in the background for him*
V 'i really should be going.. i'll see you there'
A 'i'll see you then.. '
V 'its at suntec. i'll be at suntec... '
A 'i will see you. Take care Vince.'

and he was gone.

OMG.. its my LAST day of my internship!!!!

school starts in seventeen days... but theres a tonload of things i wanna do!!!

1. kayaking.
2. i wanna learn sewing...my mum is quite excited that im getting quite homely... but the real reason for it is cos the dresses at town are overated... im not spending a cent on them.
3. i wanna be GOOD at DOTA!!!! =)
4. go out with friends and do all the random things in the world...
5. really want to be fourteen again.
6. learn to take apart a computer and put it back together.

for now, its back to the work desk.

its tuesday today... so if i count tomorrow, i have THREE days of work left!!! whoopie!!!
checked out the business camp for 2 days so far... havent spotted a hottie yet.


i cant believe school is starting this soon.

I FAILED MY DRIVING!!! UGH

China - Day 1 - 19 June 2006

Hello everyone.. its me again, back after a gazillion years..

yesterday was the first day of a week in china... its a beautiful place, if you leave out the washrooms and food. i've never been full since i got to china. My dad's friends drove past MacDonalds to the hotel today, and i've never missed MacDonalds so much. This was the dinner place. it didnt smell too good, but i was told that there were worse.

Dinner was a variation of food, dead and alive. i honestly didnt want to touch any of it. 'dead' looked sickeningly dead, and 'alive' looked suspiciously alive. What you see at the bottom here, is alive. they were all squirming around in the pan... it was sick. like really. at least i didnt have to eat these.

here is a picture of dinner, dead. The thing about chinese, is that they're acutally happy to feed you things which you would get grossed out at. when you retch, i swear they take it as a compliment.

This was the first thing on the dinner table. This, without a doubt, was a cross between 'dead' and 'alive'. they chinese just called it 'fresh'. i dont usually have fish in singapore. thats because i really dont like it. but i didnt have just a little bit of everything, they'd take it as i was being rude. so i didnt have a choice. it actually tasted quite damn good. heres the fish.

coming up is the worst thing they have fed me so far. the only time i've ever read about it - http://www.thesneeze.com/mt-archives/cat_steve_dont_eat_it.php - under 'pork rinds. i'd like to say loads about this dish. but i cant. it actually tasted good.

i've gotta run!! its breakfast... its actually the second day today.... but i'll have day 1 (part 2) coming up soon. luvzz!! i miss you guys.

the biggest mistake a made was to forget to bring the camera charger.. so i hope the battery will hold out. =(
